Metal super saddle is designed based on metal intalox ring with wavy or jagged profile at both ends and it's a kind of efficient intalox saddle. And it is because of this adjustment that leads to the increase of the porosity and the decrease of the packing bed resistance.
With these features, it is widely used in deep vacuum towers where low pressure drop is crucial and also high-pressure towers where capacity significantly exceeds conventional trays.
