Coated BFA (P-grit)

Inquire Now

Our coated BFA P-Grit abrasive represents a significant leap forward in abrasive technology. It is meticulously manufactured from medium or high-temperature calcined brown fused alumina P-grit, with each particle seamlessly enveloped in a precise blend of inorganic ceramic binder and special auxiliary materials. This unique coating process, followed by carefully controlled heat treatment, results in a modified abrasive with unparalleled characteristics, surpassing the capabilities of traditional calcined brown fused alumina.

Key Features

  • High Specific Surface Area: It promotes excellent interaction with bonding agents, improving tool durability.
  • Enhanced Hydrophilicity: It improves wettability, ensuring stronger and more uniform bonding.
  • Uniform Particle Size Distribution: It guarantees consistent surface finish and cutting quality.
  • High Purity: It reduces risk of contamination in precision grinding applications.
  • Superior Bonding Strength: It enhances retention in resin- or cloth-based abrasive tools.
  • Outstanding Grinding Efficiency: It supports faster material removal and reduced tool wear.
  • Efficient Heat Dissipation: It reduces burn risk and supports long operational cycles.

Available Grades and Applications

We offer two distinct grades of Coated BFA P-Grit, each tailored for specific performance demands:

HG-AB018 (Medium-Temperature Coated BFA)

  • Appearance: Distinctive bright red color with a polygonal particle shape and moderate bulk density.
  • Characteristics: It demonstrates significantly improved hydrophilicity compared to standard abrasives, resulting in strong bonding, excellent sharpness, and effective heat dissipation.
  • Primary Applications: Ideal for the production of high-grade coated abrasives such such as sandpaper, abrasive cloth, and abrasive belts. It excels in demanding tasks such as polishing high-quality sheet materials and machining low-carbon steel and alloy steels, offering a balance of durability and superior grinding efficiency.

HG-AB019 (High-Temperature Coated BFA)

  • Appearance: Dark red color with a polygonal particle shape and moderate bulk density.
  • Characteristics: It undergoes a high-temperature coating process that dramatically enhances its toughness, hydrophilicity, cleanliness, and reduces magnetic material content, while improving hardness. These advancements contribute to its exceptional bonding strength and superior heat dissipation.
  • Primary Applications: Primarily used in the manufacturing of high-grade coated abrasives and high-value-added non-woven abrasives. It is the preferred choice for rigorous applications, including polishing demanding hardwood boards and heavy-duty belt grinding of metals.
