WFA Abrasive (P-grit)

Inquire Now

As a professional supplier of abrasives and technical solutions, Alfa Chemistry offers white fused alumina (WFA) abrasive in P-grit form, engineered for high-performance coated abrasive applications. Produced by fusing high-purity alumina powder (Al2O3>98%) in electric arc furnaces at temperatures above 2000°C, WFA is known for its superior purity, high hardness, and exceptional cutting ability. Following fusion, the material is cooled, crushed, and precision-shaped into grains suitable for use in advanced abrasive systems.

Key Features

  • High Purity and Hardness: Over 98% Al2O3 content ensures superior hardness and consistent performance.
  • Dense and Uniform Crystal Structure: It contributes to the abrasive's durability and effectiveness.
  • Excellent Surface Finish: Capable of achieving high levels of surface smoothness and cleanliness.
  • Versatile Application: Ideal for a wide range of materials, especially challenging steels.

Available Grades and Applications

We offer specific grades of WFA P-grit abrasives, each engineered to provide distinct performance characteristics for various demanding applications:

HG-AB025 Abrasive

This grade features pointed abrasive grains with a low bulk density. Coated abrasives produced with HG-AB025 are characterized by their exceptional sharpness and high grinding efficiency, despite having lower toughness. This makes HG-AB025 an ideal choice for the production of sandpaper, nylon wheels, sponge sanding blocks.

HG-AB026 Abrasive

HG-AB026 offers polyhedral grains with a more regular particle shape and sharp angles, alongside a moderate bulk density. Coated abrasives made with HG-AB026 strike an excellent balance between hardness and moderate toughness, leading to higher overall grinding efficiency. Abrasives manufactured using HG-AB026 also demonstrate superior wear resistance compared to those made with HG-AB025, making them suitable for durable sandpaper, long-lasting nylon wheels, resilient sponge sanding blocks.
