Ceramic structured packing, also named as ceramic corrugated structured column packing, is constructed of ceramic corrugated sheets which are placed in parallel. Two adjacent sheets of this packing are of opposite directions. As its unique structure and good hydrophilic property, the turbulence of thin liquid film and the inclined zigzag channel of air flow can promote the air flow.
Compared with ceramic random tower packings, ceramic structured packing has a great number of advantages such as high-efficiency, large thruput, low liquid holdup, unsharp amplification and good operability and ceramic structured packings can replace random ceramics packings in many process applications.
