13X Molecular Sieve

13X molecular sieve, a multiple purpose, highly porous, high-capacity alkali metal alumino-silicate, is of the type X crystal structure with pore diameters of approximately 10Å. Molecular with kinetic diameter larger than 10 angstrom will be adsorbed by 13X molecular sieve, otherwise be excluded.

13X molecular sieve is commonly used as a desiccant of adsorbents for industrial processes which require the adsorption and removal of moisture elements during processing and packaging, for removal of carbon dioxide and moisture from air, mercaptan and hydrogen sulphide from hydrocarbons such as LPG, butane, propane, etc.

Application

Alfa Chemistry 13X molecular sieve is commonly used in:

  • Removal of CO2 and moisture from air (air pre-purification) and other gases
  • Pre-purification unit before cryogenic plant
  • Petrochemical Industry
  • Removal of n-chained compositions from aromatics
  • Removal of R-SH and H2S from hydrocarbon liquid streams (LPG, butane, etc.)
  • Removal of Mercaptan from LPG Gas
  • Production of bulk oxygen in PSA units
