Modified Chlorinated Polyolefin (Solventborne)

Product Description

This series of products is modified chlorinated polyolefin, which is solventborne adhesion promoter. We have developed and produced two types of the products, namely HG-CohesivePro 2005 and HG-CohesivePro 2006, in which HG-CohesivePro 2005 is xylene solution of maleic anhydride modified chlorinated polypropylene, while HG-CohesivePro 2006 is n-butyl acetate/cyclohexane solution of modified chlorinated polyolefin (trade secret). Applications

HG-CohesivePro 2005 can be used as a primer or as an additive to an ink, coating, paint or adhesive formulations.

Application Methods

• If used as a primer: Dilute the product in solvent by 1-10% depending on activity, then apply the dilution to a clean surface (surface free of dirt, oil, grease, and others) with a spray, brush, or rod, and make sure the surface completely covered. Allow the substrate to dry before applying the top paint or adhesive.
• If used as an additive: Depending on the purpose of use, approximately 1 to 10% (based on a weight basis) of HG-CohesivePro 2005 is added to system (please ensure that the product is compatible in the system). And then apply adhesive as per required rates and application.

HG-CohesivePro 2006

Applications

HG-CohesivePro 2006 can be used as an additive to various solvent borne adhesives and primers.

• Superior adhesion to low surface energy materials like PP, EPDM, Tyvek, recycled plastic, and TPO without pre-treatment.
• Excellent compatibility with various solvents and other resins.
• Transparent film after coating and drying

Application Methods

• If used as a primer: Dilute the product to 1-10% actives solution, then apply the dilution to a clean surface (surface free of dirt, oil, grease, and others) to form a thin layer. Allow the substrate to dry for 1-3 minutes before applying the other paints, coatings or adhesives.
• If used as an additive: Depending on the purpose of use, approximately 1-10% (based on a weight basis) of HG-CohesivePro 2006 is added to system (please ensure that the product is compatible in the system). And then apply adhesive as per required rates and application.
