First-grade WFA Abrasive

Inquire Now

Our first-grade white fused alumina (WFA) abrasive is meticulously produced by melting high-purity aluminum oxide powder (over 98% Al2O3) in an electric arc furnace at temperatures exceeding 2000°C. This rigorous process followed by precise crushing and shaping, yields an abrasive material characterized by its dense texture, uniform crystal structure, exceptional purity, and superior hardness. These properties make it an indispensable choice for demanding surface treatment tasks, including the efficient removal of oxides and rust, and the significant improvement of surface finishes on various materials. WFA serves as a foundational abrasive for manufacturing high-quality resinoid and ceramic bonded tools, extending its utility to precision casting, blasting media, and even specialized chemical and refractory applications.

Key Features

  • High Purity: Composed of >98% Al2O3, ensuring minimal contamination.
  • Superior Hardness: Ideal for grinding high-strength materials such as quenched steel and high-speed steel.
  • Dense Structure: It offers excellent mechanical stability and wears resistance.
  • Thermal Resistance: Suitable for high-temperature environments and refractory uses.
  • Uniform Crystalline Morphology: It promotes consistent grinding performance and abrasive efficiency.

Available Grades and Applications

  • HG-AB021 Abrasive: This grade features a multi-faceted (polygonal) particle shape with a moderate bulk density. Abrasive tools made with HG-AB021 are known for their excellent sharpness, durability, and high grinding efficiency. It's primarily recommended for resinoid thin cutting wheels, resinoid grinding wheels, and ceramic grinding wheels used in processing high-carbon steel, alloy steel, and quenched steel, materials noted for their high hardness and tensile strength.
  • HG-AB022 Abrasive: Characterized by its cubic particle shape and regular, uniform grains, it boasts a high bulk density and high toughness. Abrasive tools crafted with HG-AB022 offer superior durability and demonstrate excellent balance with uniform stress distribution among the abrasive grains. This makes it an ideal choice for manufacturing both resinoid and ceramic bonded abrasive tools where consistent performance and tool longevity are paramount.
