Metal Wire Gauze Packing

Metal wire gauze packing is made of arranged wire mesh pieces pressed into corrugation, whose obliquity is 45 or 60 degrees, and the adjacent two pieces are of opposite directions. And it is fixed by being nailed or being ringed to adhere to the walls. With this structure it can change the distribution of liquid and increase the transfer efficiency. Because of the capillary effect, the metal wire gauze packing provides an extremely wettable surface for low-surface-tension liquids, resulting in excellent mass transfer efficiency, particularly at very low liquid rates.
