5A molecular sieve is a kind of calcium form of the crystal structure. It is the calcium form of the Type-A crystal structure with an effective pore opening of 5A. 5A molecular sieve will adsorb molecules with criticaldiameters up to 5 angstroms.
The common application of 5A molecular sieve is to separate the normal and isomerous alkane, to adsorb moisture, humidity and carbon dioxide, to adsorb pressure swing for gases. And it can also be used to check the exact composition through large volume density, water content, strength, and several other chemical specifications.
