The product (HG-CohesivePro 4005) is a solution of hydroxy-functional copolymer with acidic groups, which is silicone-free and contains acid groups. The product is designed to be used as a adhesion promoter for aqueous and solvent-borne coatings to improve their adhesion to metallic substrates such as steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals and also to glass. Applicable coatings include industrial coatings, coil coatings (on galvanized steel) and protective coatings.

Depending on the purpose of use, the product is added to the coating formulation at 1-5% level based on the total formulation. The product is added to the finished paint while stirring continuously. In solvent-based systems, the product should first be tested for compatibility in the non-pigmented formulation.
