The product (HG-CohesivePro 4001) is hydroxy-functional copolymer with acidic adhesive groups which is adsorbed on silicon dioxide. The product features affinity functional groups to substrate and is designed to be used as a adhesion promoter for powder coatings to improve adhesion to substrates. More specifically, HG-CohesivePro 4001 can be used for various powder coating systems based on epoxy, polyester, and polyurethane resin, as well as their combinations.

Depending on the purpose of use, the product is added to the powder coating formulation at 0.5-3% level based on the total formulation. Then the product is mixed with resin, curing agent, pigment and other raw materials through a high-speed mixer, so that the product can be evenly dispersed in the system, and then extruded. Uniform dispersion will enable the powder coating to achieve the best performance.
